A triple murder is being investigated after two gunmen opened fire on people sitting in a yard in Gugulethu on Wednesday afternoon, leaving three dead and one injured.
Western Cape police spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa said the shots rang out at about midday in NY108.
“According to reports, the victims were sitting in the yard when two unidentified suspects got out of a vehicle and randomly fired shots at them,” she added.
Two men, aged 37 and 39, and a 35-year-old woman were killed.
“Another woman in her thirties was also injured during the incident. The injured woman was taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment,” Potelwa said.
