Hawk grew up playing video games and has owned almost every console released since the Commodore 64. But his favorite system right now? The Xbox Series X, which pairs nicely with his newly relaunched Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 (which is now available on XBox, Playstation, and Steam).
“The Pro Skater franchise has been one of the biggest honors of my life,” he says. “The fact that I’ve gotten to introduce so many people to the sport and play games with my kids has been amazing.”
Hawk broke his leg in 2022, and admittedly pushed harder than he should have the first time around, causing a few setbacks. That was not a mistake he made twice, but he slowly got strong again thanks to lower body workouts like sled pushes. “My sled has really helped me build back up my endurance,” says Hawk. One of the bonus features is the phrase “Don’t Quit. Ever.” This is a line that the skateboarder takes to heart every session.

Being a skateboarding legend means Hawk never knows when he’s going to have the urge or obligation to hop on one of his own Birdhouse decks for a few tricks. So when he found this pair of Levi’s jeans let him hit jumps and look good doing it, he stuck with them. Hawk pops into the Levi’s store in Manhattan to restock his wardrobe, because they carry his size, which are hard to snag online.
On his road to recovery after breaking his leg, Hawk became more diligent at tracking his health insights with the help of trackers like the Oura Ring. “I don’t live or die by it, but it’s helpful to know where I’m at so that I can plan ahead,” he says. “I know better now what I need to do to recover.”

Nothing takes a great skateboard session to the next level like tunes, as any player of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater well knows. The soundtrack of the game has been stacked with hits like “Superman” by Goldfinger and “Police Truck” by The Dead Kennedys. Hawk uses this punchy Bluetooth speaker from Skullcandy to pump out the jams during sessions in the park with friends.
Hawk fully admits that he did not have the best diet when he was a young skateboarder. While he still doesn’t consider himself a chef by any means, his eating habits have improved thanks to kitchen resources like this blender from Vitamix. “I actually pay attention to what I put in my body these days, which is more than I can say for my younger self,“ he says. “Getting the Vitamix going is a good way to make sure I’m getting in my protein and greens.”
