AS AN AVID skier, I know firsthand how pricey a quality pair of snow pants can be. Wanting to ensure you’re warm, dry, but still able to move your body on the slopes is possible, but often times costs a pretty penny. Now that we’re at midwinter, lots of popular outdoor brands have ski and snow pants on sale up to 57 percent off. Trust that these are from editor-loved names too. The first time I bought a pair of snow pants myself (meaning, not when it was gifted to me from my parents), I was left a little in awe at how much of a dent it put in my wallet. Granted, I was 22 right out of college, and I opted for the $600 Arc’teryx Sabre Pants, but in bright orange. It’s what I knew would keep out the snow while helping me look cool. That’s not including the winter coat, my wool gloves, and the plenty of sweaters and fleeces I also splurged on.
I’m a huge fan of winter and its many sports, and so if I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be to make sure to grab a pair of ski pants on sale.
