9 more people died statewide from COVID-19, and over 140 more people evaluated favorable, the state Department of Health Services announced Sunday afternoon.

Health officials validated an overall of 4,346 cases in Wisconsin and stated at least 220 individuals died from the virus. The largest jump in cases between Saturday and Sunday beyond Milwaukee remained in Brown and Kenosha counties. Brown County saw 11 more cases Sunday and Kenosha County was up 12 cases.

Over 45,323 individuals checked negative for COVID-19, state health authorities reported.

The number of individuals hospitalized in the state given that the break out in Wisconsin continues to be around 30%at 1,190 individuals.

Burnett, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Pepin, Taylor and Vernon counties remain the only ones without any confirmed cases so far, according to the state. The number of cases in each county is as follows:

  • Two each in Ashland, Florence, Iron, Waushara, Sawyer and Wood counties
  • One each in Menominee, Washburn, Price, Green Lake and Trempealeau counties

Clark County health officials also verified Sunday early morning the first death there, simply days after a local cops chief there published a letter on Facebook to Gov. Tony Evers, stating the guv’s safer-at-home order was unneeded in some rural areas.
