Home/ World News/ New york city nurses sue state, 2 healthcare facilities over ‘inadequate’ coronavirus protection
” These suits were filed to protect our nurses, our clients and our communities from grossly insufficient and irresponsible defenses,” said a statement from Pat Kane, the association’s executive director.
The association represents 42,000 nurses in the state, which leads the nation with about 233,000 COVID-19 cases.
The nurses stated the directive breached a state law embraced in March that provided quarantined employees 14 days paid ill leave.
