There are currently more than 100,000 cases of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania’s Department of Health said there are currently no plans to return counties to the red phase.The Department of Health said that to Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 in response to an inquiry about social media posts that suggested some counties may soon return to the red phase of reopening.In a statement that reiterated the social media posts are incorrect, the Department of Health added, “Any mitigation efforts needed, beyond those in place since July 15, would be targeted and surgical to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania.”On Monday, an additional 711 cases of COVID-19 were reported statewide, taking the total number of cases since the pandemic began to 101, 738. According to the Department of Health, there have been 7,018 deaths in Pennsylvania linked to the illness.
