The tennis tour came to a halt in early March due to the coronavirus pandemic. While many tennis stars are finding new ways to keep themselves engage during the hiatus, Venus Williams is taking this time to expand her business.
Venus created a unique invisible sunscreen for all skin tones in collaboration with The Sunscreen Company and Credo as an extension for EleVen by Venus Williams. She launched the EleVen by Venus X Credo Beauty collection on credobeauty.com on Thursday.
In an interview with ESSENCE, Venus revealed how she is coping up with the quarantine life. She explained that staying at home has helped her organize herself and creating new self-care products.

Williams explained that she is trying to take advantage of the time that she has to do other things. The 39-year-old believes that she has more time as she is spending less time finding things.
The 7-time Grand Slam champion also revealed that she wasn’t a huge fan of sunscreen. She felt that she is ‘invincible’ and does not require any protection from the sun rays.
“I’ve been a huge fan of wearing sunscreen—not at the beginning of my life. But when I got a little bit older I started to understand the value of taking care of your skin,” said Venus.
“And not just the skin on your face, but the skin on your body, too. My sister Serena always wore sunscreen. I never did, but I would see her wearing it all the time, and I think one day it just clicked like, ‘Oh, my God. I’m in my thirties and not serious about this. What if I’ve been wasting all this time?’ She added.
“As an African-American, I felt like Oh, I have built-in sunscreen. I don’t need sunscreen. I’m invincible. But that’s not the truth. I’m happy I got wise, but I just wish I would’ve done it sooner,” she concluded.

Venus Williams has always been an inspiration for millions around the world on and off the court. Doing wonders even during the lockdown will certainly encourage many people to positively use this time and do something productive while staying at home.
