WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO GET A TEST. PKG2>> BEFORE TODAY TESTING WAS JUST FOR FIRST RESPONDERS. NOW IT’S OPEN TO ANYONE SEVEN DAYS A WEEK. ANTIBODY TESTS CAN TELL IF YOU COULD HAVE BEEN INFECTED WITH COVID-19 IN THE PAST. IT’S NOT CLEAR WHETHER TESTING POSITIVE FOR ANTIBODIES COULD MEAN YOU ARE FROM VIRUS OR WHETHER YOU ARE ABLE TO SPREAD IT. TESTING FOR THE VIRUS WILL CONTINUE AT THE CONVENTION CENTER. THEY WILL HAVE 125 TESTS AVAILABLE PER DAY. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE IN ORANGE COUNTY RESIDENT AND YOU DO NOT NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.
Free COVID-19 antibody testing available at Orange County Convention Center
You no longer have to be a first responder to get antibody testing at the Orange County Convention Center drive-thru site. Anyone who is 18 years of age and older can visit the testing site for a free COVID-19 antibody test. As long as weather permits, the site will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.You do not need an appointment to get tested. The site will have a daily allotment of 125 antibody tests and 750 acute viral culture tests.
