GENEVA (Reuters) – The World Health Company (WHO) stated on Tuesday that all readily available evidence suggests that the novel coronavirus originated in bats in China late last year and it was not controlled or constructed in a laboratory.
U.S. President Donald Trump stated recently that his government was trying to identify whether the virus emanated from a laboratory in Wuhan in main China.
” All available proof suggests the infection has an animal origin and is not manipulated or constructed virus in a lab or somewhere else,” WHO spokeswoman Fadela Chaib informed a Geneva news briefing. “It is probable, likely that the infection is of animal origin.”
It was unclear how the virus had jumped the types barrier to human beings however there had “certainly” been an intermediate animal host, she included.
