Washoe COVID-19 cases jump by 40 on Friday

Washoe County added 40 known cases of COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the total in the county to 1,685 cases.
So far, 65 people have died from coronavirus in Washoe County, according to the regional information center dashboard.
Sixty people are currently hospitalized due to the virus and 134 people have been released from the hospital. Nearly 1,100 people have recovered from COVID-19 and 550 cases are still active.
176 new cases, 4 additional deaths in Nevada
Friday
The number of Nevadans who have tested positive for COVID-19 has increased by 176, bringing the statewide total of known infections to 9,266 people, according to new data posted to the Nevada Health Alliance dashboard.
It’s the largest increase in identified cases in the past 13 days.

The number of deaths statewide increased to 433.
Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 decreased 6.3% on Thursday, and ventilator use among known or suspected cases has fallen to 119.
