Tulare County nears 400 cases of COVID-19

COVID-19 has declared two more lives in Tulare County, the county’s public health department revealed on Thursday.

County health authorities have yet to launch information on the current patient deaths. As of Wednesday, 8 of the 17 deaths were credited to residents at Visalia’s Redwood Springs Healthcare Center.

The Visalia retirement home has an overall of 154 cases — 106 homeowners, 48 staff — since Wednesday night. Visalia accounts for 215 verified cases.

With the deaths come 20 more confirmed cases of the deadly infection, bringing the county’s overall to372 Twenty-two people have actually recuperated from the infection, according to public health authorities.

A total of 454 individuals are under self-quarantine and being kept an eye on by Tulare County Public Health.

Trump’s proposes new guidelines for states targeted at reopening parts of United States

President Donald Trump released standards to states Thursday targeted at relieving social distancing restrictions and reopening parts of the nation as it grapples with the financial fallout of the coronavirus pandemic.
