A 50-year-old man in Multnomah County, who tested positive April 23 and died at his residence on May 29, and a 70-year-old woman also in Multnomah County, who tested positive on April 8 and died on May 9 in her residence, are the latest people to succumb to the disease. Both had underlying medical conditions.
In the past 24 hours, the state recorded 93 new confirmed and presumptive coronavirus cases.
They were in 15 of Oregon’s 36 counties: Clackamas (7), Hood River (7), Jackson (2), Jefferson (2), Lincoln (6), Malheur (1), Marion (11), Morrow (1), Multnomah (28), Polk (3), Umatilla (6), Wallowa (1), Wasco (1), Washington (15), Yamhill (2).

County case totals: Two counties — Multnomah and Marion — have more than 1,000 coronavirus cases each. Six counties — Washington, Clackamas, Deschutes, Linn, Umatilla and Polk — have reported 100 coronavirus cases or more. Gilliam and Wheeler have reported none.
The Oregon Health Authority says that one case previously reported in Deschutes County was determined not to be a case, and the county totals have been adjusted to reflect that change.

The Oregon Health Authority also reports that the weekly testing summary for the week ending June 5 shows that 20,539 people were tested, and that as of week’s end, the cumulative positive testing rate was 3.1 percent of tests performed.
