MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO)— Meridian Manor Assisted Living Facility in Wayzata is now empty due to a break out of COVID-19
It’s unclear who all evaluated favorable at the facility, but Meridian Manor authorities inform WCCO 18 out of the 55 citizens evaluated favorable, and the Minnesota Department of Health states it’s a bulk of the staff who tested positive. Either way, the center has actually been cleared out for now.
Ambulances lined the driveway of the facility Saturday night, taking residents to either the health center, new care centers or to stick with loved ones.
Authorities say they have actually been vigilantly evaluating residents and sending anybody with even the slightest modification of health to the hospital for testing and care as a precaution. MDH says 7 citizens went straight the healthcare facility Saturday night.
Torsten Hirche, president and CEO of Transforming Age– the business that oversees the center– gave this declaration Sunday to WCCO: “This virus is striking with such voraciousness and has actually brought with it so much suffering and discomfort. We express our deepest gratitude to our employee and our partners for keeping our residents safe.”
MDH has been helping Meridian Manor relocate several of their residents who evaluated negative for the virus.
