Coronavirus crisis could cut UK summer electrical power usage by a 5th

The coronavirus-led shutdown of big parts of the economy is most likely to cut the UK’s electrical power requires dramatically this summer season, potentially by as much as a 5th.

While electricity need constantly dips in summer season, the UK’s National Grid said today the reaction to covid-19 might see electrical power demand drop by in between 4 and 20 per cent in the daytime.
