Simply a day after the Bay Location’s most dangerous Saturday throughout the coronavirus pandemic, state officials validated California exceeded 30,000 validated cases of coronavirus.
As the infection continued to spread out and threaten the state’s 39.7 million residents, new numbers assembled by this news organization show 30,754 individuals are validated to have COVID-19 and 1,146 have passed away, up from 29,348 confirmed cases and 1,050 deaths at the end of Friday.
The news came just hours after it was reported that state health officials had found COVID-19 cases on dozens of Bay Area assisted living home.
The stunning state figures show that 34 retirement home in 7 Bay Area counties have verified cases of coronavirus. Of the 1,224 knowledgeable nursing centers in California, 261 have reported several COVID-19 cases by either a resident or employee since Friday.
But nurses and medical personnel aren’t the only vital employees getting ill across the state.
