TOPLINE: A tailored exercise adherence intervention integrated into physiotherapy rehabilitation enhanced mobility outcomes in people with vertebral fragility fractures. At 12 months, participants who received adherence support demonstrated better functional mobility and exercise capacity than those who received standard rehabilitation. METHODOLOGY: Researchers conducted a randomised controlled trial to evaluate whether adding a tailored, theory-driven adherence

UPDATE/CORRECTION: The testing numbers below originally appeared much higher. That’s because of a miscommunication between your Lost Coast Outpost and the county’s Joint Information Center about their new format for reporting the number of tests completed on Humboldt County people. We had a conversation with Dr. Teresa Frankovich, our county health officer, this evening, and we thing we’ve cleared it up.
For the first time today, the JIC reported that 2,369 tests have been conducted to through the OptumServe community testing site at Redwood Acres to date. They wanted to report this number to show the community what’s happening at the OptumServe site.
In fact, many (and probably most) of those test are included in the “other tests” number that we’ve been reporting below, and which the Joint Information Center gets from the state. But the JIC gets current testing numbers directly from OptumServe more quickly than the state gets them, according to Frankovich, and so not all of the OptumServe tests are in those state numbers.
It’s kind of a huge mess. But next week we’ll rejigger our charts, below, to reflect this and a couple of other new datapoints that the Joint Information Center is reporting habitually now, and hopefully we’ll find a way to make it clear and obvious for everyone.
=historic data. All data from the Humboldt County Joint Information Center.
