5 more seniors have died in Dallas County Friday after contracting COVID-19, according to Dallas County authorities who also revealed another 124 validated cases of the virus.
The most recent victims consisted of a lady in her 60 s from Dallas, a male in his 70 s from Farmers Branch, a male in his 70 s from Dallas, a female in her 60 s from Dallas and a man in his 80 s from Dallas. All 5 of the victims had actually been hospitalized and the last two were residents of long-term care facilities.
The deaths bring the countywide total to 55; the addition of 124 cases brings that overall to 2,190
County health authorities did not yet expose information on where the latest cases were discovered– those information are expected to be provided Friday afternoon.
Beginning Saturday, individuals in Dallas County will be needed to wear a cloth covering over their mouth and nose while performing necessary companies, operating in important services or while on public transit.

Jenkins’ changed Shelter in Location order said infractions, which now consists of the face coverings as of midnight Saturday, with fines as much as $1,000 and/or jail time for those discovered to be in infraction of the order. In a conference Friday early morning, the Dallas County Commissioners Court voted to further modify the order to eliminate the arrangement about charges.
Still, Jenkins stated Thursday afternoon he didn’t expect to need enforcement of the modification, hoping people would simply comply for the good of others and front line responders.
