LAST week, throughout what currently feels like the halcyon days of Prior to Lockdown, a terrific bundle came through my letterbox. It included the Excellent Trees of London Map, which lists the UK capital’s 50 most intriguing trees. Did you understand there is a giant redwood towering over New Cross Gate tube station? Or a yew in Totteridge that has existed since prior to the Norman Conquest? I was preparing to visit them all. That will now need to wait.
