It’s tough enough in the first location having to drive an astronomically pricey rover around a world countless miles away. Doing it from house appears like a pretty huge ask– but it ends up NASA’s Curiosity team depends on it.
The space firm posted today about how the group has adjusted to the extraordinary scenario of having to handle an important, ongoing objective including hundreds of people, without any of those people conference in person.
” We’re usually all in one space, sharing screens, images and information,” stated team lead Alicia Allbaugh.
Naturally there are video calls, too– in some cases numerous at once.
It drove up to a rock, drilled a sample and sent out verification back to the team– just as it would if they were all working as normal.
” Mars isn’t standing still for us; we’re still exploring,” stated Allbaugh.
